Rapid chess in Riyadh 8

Rapid is the tempo most of Riyadh’s organised events choose. The federation’s women’s editions of 2026 are played at ten minutes plus five seconds a move over seven rounds, the under-14 edition of the Riyadh Open at the same tempo, and most of them at Danat Al Uloom Schools, with Golden Horse Academy as the federation’s partner. Kings Chess Club and KSHMAK hold numbered rated rapid days, the earlier ones at King Salman Social Center.

Only Move played its rated rapid events on university campuses in 2025, Pawn Takes played a rapid day for Founding Day in February 2025, and AR Chess Academy runs a long numbered series of tournaments for players under twelve alongside a first rapid tournament in December 2025. Each tile shows the newest dated edition found; a date printed in a notice ahead of time is shown as the notice gives it.
